We’re thrilled to announce the final results of the Ideahacker’s Guide to IBC Ideathon, a global online ideathon to kick off the next wave of development in cross-chain innovation. We received an impressive number of ideas from diverse participants across the different tracks, with 207 BUIDL submissions from 319 ideahackers. The judging panel was composed of 13 experts from the interchain and Solana ecosystems.

Ideahacker’s Guide to IBC was a hackathon just for ideas—no coding or software engineering required. Anyone with a background in blockchain and a willingness to learn the basics of IBC was eligible to participate.

Ideathon Prizes

The total prize pool is $30,000 in ATOM tokens across the five tracks, plus the first-place winners get an all-expenses-paid trip to Istanbul to incubate their ideas in real life.

Each track had 3 cash prizes:

  • First prize: $3,000
  • Second prize: $1,500
  • Third prize: 3 winners at $500 each

Judging took place in isolation; the judges had private documents and did not get a chance to see each others' scoring. Per the submission guidelines, teams could win in more than one category, as long as they submitted different ideas in each category.

Now, without further ado, congratulations to the deserving winners…
